well, i got a logitech g27 for christmas with a racing chair all linked together, but it doesnt fit in my room, so i have to haul my computer down stairs to play beamng and when im done i have to bring the computer upstairs and do homework etc., im looking at using streaming but steamlink says it doesnt support the G27, does anyone know how i can leave my wheel and chair downstairs out of the way and keep my pc upstairs and then when i want to play i bring the wheel and chair into position and play without bringing my pc down, anyone know how to do this?
Mini-ITX. Will make it easy to carry around, at least. Or, if you don't mind doing all your gaming downstairs, get an old/cheap desktop for work. If you have a proper LAN connection (at least 100Mb/s, cat6 and gigabit switch would be better), you could even access using remote desktop from the PC in your room and play games there. Not ideal, but it works. Having the PC downstairs and streaming to your room could also work.
X2 get a second computer for HW. Much easier. That's why I use 2 computers; A desktop and a laptop. not to mention my countless tablets but that's another story, don't need to overdose this thread with those But yeah, get an alternative computer for schoolwork. Keeps it separate from your gaming machine.
not a bad idea actually, got one of those asus transformer books (t100taf) for £150 and it does everything i need it to do, heck it even runs beamng at 10fps!!, the bonus is that i can use it as a tablet too which is good and then i can use it like i would use an ipad but if i attach the keyboard then its like a proper laptop, only problem is the 32gb of storage which is solved by an sd card
a very long usb cable to a usb hub downstairs and a very long display cable, only have to move monitor, mouse and keyboard then that's only a joke solution really but I know people do operate similar aetups
