So I Want to make a map from the ground up using World editor. But I wanna send this level to my friend privately by sending him specific folder. But upon doing that, its either they load the map but they see nothing (which is what the level is on its own without any world editor) or some textures are missing -->
This is one of the screenshot that my buddy sent, the black part is supposed to be a grid terrian and the "no texture" is supposed to be a decal road with a tarmac texture
Can anyone help me with this?
Cause I wanna make Custom maps for others to play with

Check in what folder you saved the map, 99.9% of the time people save in wrong folder without knowing

this is usually the folder for it
The map I want to share, I archive it into a zip and send it to them

Save these files somewhere, deep clear cache and make sure it still works for you

If it's in that folder then it should be the one, unless you moved it somewhere
Better search for every instance of the map in your system and back up everything if you are not sure

Check if it still works for you, if yes then it's an issue on your friend's side

When I loaded the map without the duplicate folder back in, everything is blank just like how I started it off. But when I copy and paste the level folder back into beamNG files. Everything is loaded as expected, Edited Terrains, Raods, Spawn points are saved as I did

Then the texture issues are on your friend's side and he should deep clear cache

Apparently I'm doing something wrong. I send the map to 3 of my friends and they all have the same issue. The Map "works" but the textures are missing and replaced with black void texture (shown below). if you have discord, please let us continue our conversation there

Check if there are any files in C:\Users\yourWindowsUser\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.27\levels\nameOfYourMod\ and move that into C:\Users\yourWindowsUser\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.27\mods\unpacked\yourMod\...\...\

Also make sure to pack the mod from the ingame mod browser instead of manually making a zip file
