I had to add this to the material file: Code: translucentZWrite = "1"; Thank you for pointing me to the correct place!
Afraid I'm not sure what would cause this. I added a decal road and a tree on my map to check, and the shadow renders fine. try toggling a few options in the terrain settings for your level, are you using a scatersky or sun and skybox? Using default decal roads and trees it works for me, so that would make me think the problem is something else in your terrain. Edit: oops a little late it seems lol
I'm not to sure either, I mean I think this happened to me before, but all I did it remove the skybox and sun, and added both new ones and it worked just fine for me.
It is probably because i had created my own road texture. But the map looks so much better with shadows on the roads.
Very good work here! I know it does get kinda sicking using the same textures every time one makes a map. But your doing a great job making you own. Are you currently making the grass texture?
The grass texture was made from a photo of grass i took in Scotland when i was bored on holiday, then i edited it in photoshop elements so that the sides matched. The rock image was taken about 500m away from the grass, its actually set into the beach. Then put it into photoshop and did more complex things with it. Here are the originals, taken with my now ancient (smart phone terms) galaxy s2. Feel free to use them if you want, im not going to post the textures yet because they are not finished. But i plan to release them as a free texture set when i am done.
That's great! I'm glad someone is making their own textures for their maps! Now do you plan to have grass like this? (imported from here)
