How to download skins?

I know how to download cars and all, but where do you put skin files? I tried putting them in the mod folder with all the other mods but it doesn't work.

Most mods are installed the same way:

That one you got is not packed and missing part of the stuff it needs to work.
If you want to fix it, you can follow this guide: https://wiki.beamng.com/Simple_skin_tutorial
(And instead of making your own skin texture file, pick one of those)

Those you linked are not "skins" but rather resources for skins: author only posted textures in his thread.

To work in game, they'd have to be packed-up properly first, with a Jbeam for the parts selector and correct material mappings.
