One of my buddies who is brand new to beamng asked me to make this video!

Hope this helps anyone having issues installing mods into beamng.

 

Unfortunately that's not really the way mods are intended to be installed.

there's a whole dedicated mod system in the game already, it's in Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods. You're supposed to use this one instead of the install directory, because this way you can enable and disable mods ingame, and updating the game doesn't delete/move any of your mods. It's also a lot easier because zips can just be dropped in the folder without extracting them, so they occupy less storage space.
