    For this to work you need two things:

    * A ground model with proper fluid properties (such as mud)
    * A valid depth map:

    - greyscale only
    - no alpha of any kind (the channel mustn't be present)
    - name must be the same as the .ter you wish it to be linked to ("small_island.ter.depth.png" refers to "small_island.ter" - this is the terrain name, **not** the level name)
    - the image itself (only PNG) white <> black, 0m deep <> very deep (~10m)
    - the image must be the same size as the terrain (1024x1024 terrain needs a 1024x1024 depth map)

    If any of the above conditions are not met you will get perfectly solid ground (except maybe the dimensions, haven't checked).

    Some more info. You will probably only want ~5% black at most for the image or it will be too deep.

    Quality may be a bit lower ....

    * copy "small_island.ter.depth.png" into your level, rename it to be "****YOUR .TER NAME*****.ter.depth.png"

    And you should have some depth ... in some places.

    Thanks for the help, Hutch.

    I edited my depth map in MS paint, using only greyscale. However all my depths are 0.

    Am I supposed to not use paint?

    Thanks.

    Can't use paint. Doesn'preferred preserve channels correctly. Use gimp or paint.net
