So, I recently installed Xubuntu and then installed proton and beamng. I decided to play for some time. Later I wanted to transfer my mods and my maps so I could continue to work on some mods on linux. I went to the partition and dragged the files into the proton file manager, but it didn't work. I tried copying and pasting and dragging and dropping.
I would like to continue to play on linux because:

    I get 10 fps more.
The game doesn't crash anymore (This was caused by HPs crappy and outdated drivers.).
    And the game feels smoother!

How can I transfer my old 0.25 files to the new proton installation?

Weird this didn't work. Are you sure you copied the files in the right place? BeamNG should've seen them right away if they were put in the right folder as I doubt there is anything Windows-specific in them to prevent them from working on Linux
