Is your question about changing your key bindings, or about drifting?

It is a lot easier to drift using a ps3/4 or xbox 360 controller. I think WASD wont change for you because they already have assigned functions in the editor.
I plugged in my ps3 controller, ran it through DS3 (because it has to emulate an Xbox 360 to work in BeamNG), and the driving was a lot more realistic. I actually had control over how much throttle I wanted (which helps with drifting, racing, and testing), and sligthly pumping the reverse button while taking a corner could get me drifting easily.

There are a few cars out there you might want to try, just search "drift" in the search bar or go to Forums/Mods and Skins and look around.

I'll be honest, unless you're using the Covet or another FWD/AWD car, you shouldn't need the parking brake to drift. The Bolide is actually the best car to practice with IMO because of how easy it is to get the rear end out. Unlike other games, which fake the drift when you use the handbrake, you actually have to go through the proper steering motions as though you were drifting IRL. In a reasonably powerful RWD car, let off the throttle before the turn, and maybe brake a little before reaching it. Once at the turn, go full lock toward the direction you want to go, and floor it. You should start to slide. Once you do, let the steering straighten back up while still flooring it, and then steer into the turn to tighten the radius, or away from the turn to widen it. It takes some practice to get down, but once you do it's really fun.

We tweaked the sliding friction coefficient recently for the race update which makes sustaining drifts easier :) It was previously recovering unrealistically quickly.

The more I hear about this Race update, the more I want it! Can't wait!
