I've seen people do it in videos, they make AI controlled vehicles chase or flee from them. I know how to spawn in a vehicle and all, I just want to know how to make it chase or flee from me. Thanks in advance.

I've read that Ctrl+T opens the AI GUI, but that never seems to work for me. Was it changed, does my game have an issue, Is there an alternative method?

Press the menu button in the right top corner and from there you will see the AI options menu.

I've only been able to get them to chase me though. Flee puts them in a constant turn and keep distance is the same. with AI way points it will probably be improved

Because that recently changed. Now to use the AI you have to press ESC (A side menu will appear, if it doesn't, delete the 'Settings' folder in Documents/BeamNG.Drive), then go to UI EDIT, ADD APP, AI Control.
The older AI modes (chase / flee / keep distance) are not yet implemented in the new AI system.

There is no ai control app on the menu bar on the right. How do we get to this. See screen cap.

Here's a complete guide on this.

Step 1) Press ESC and click 'Options'
Step 2) Go to the 'Gameplay' tab.
    Step 3) Enable 'Advanced Options'
Step 4) Press ESC again and select 'Apps'
Step 5) At the centre of the screen, click the '+' button.
    Step 6) Select 'AI Control'
Step 7) Press the tick next to the '+' button.

The new update still does include the AI system, however the apps button does have a different name last time I checked, but is still in the same spot.

Sure, we aim to cripple user experience as much as we can :D
    /s

BeamNG.Drive is an Early Access title in alpha stage of development.
It means many things can go like they shouldn't.

We are always working on fixing bugs, adding content and features.
Incase you missed, here you can find all our updates' logs.

    Thanks for the support

Iv noticed beamng drive causes more bugs then they fix and dont even bother to test their updates. This is how stuff like this is caused.

You clearly have never heard of BeamNG's QA team then. They do their job really well.

(not a rhetorical question, please answer this) When has this ever happened? There is of course some bugs (because it's still in alpha), but there had never been more bugs introduced, than bugs fixed or features added etc. in any update.

Should I repeat the part about Early Access title and alpha stage of development?
We do have bugs, yes. And we are fixing them, one by one, but we are doing that. Sometimes fixing something can break other things. QA (Quality Assurance) is there and it's doing its job perfectly. We test the game continuosly in search of bugs, and we take seriously the bugs report people send to us (saw the Feedbacks thread? Each game version has its own thread like that).
Said that, you seem very negative about the whole thing. We can work as hard as we can, but there will always be somebody criticizing what we do.
If games with bugs aren't your thing, don't jump in Early Access titles :)

Let's you set which route the AI should follow. At the moment is accessible only for stuff like scenarios (via lua)
