I downloaded some Originator's map (very cool) and I would like to create races inside those maps?
How do I set AI for this?

Open the "AI" tab by going into the UI editor in the ingame menu.
Spawn however many cars you want.
    Freeze physics. (J)
Go to every car besides the one you want to drive, then set "Chase" into the AI tab.
    Unfreeze physics. (J)
That should do it, as long as The Originators has AI support.
(Start the car you want to drive a length ahead of the AI cars.)

Why chase? You can't even pretend to be in a race that way. Just download a map/circuit where there's only a circuit mapped for AI and nothing else, set it to span/random. AI will drive around the circuit till it crashes/runs out of fuel. It will still be clueless about each others presence, but at least won't deliberately crash into you the first chance it gets.

EDIT: I think the map you are talking about is a closed circuit iirc. Use span/random, not chase.

I use chase, because otherwise its not much of a race at all.

How is having opponents chasing you instead of trying to drive the circuit more of a race? You literally have to start at the front, (and by a good distance like you said yourself since the AI will go yolo on you in the first corner) and on top of that, can't loose positions since if they get close they'll try to kill you.

Yes the AI using the same crappy line, not overtaking and not being aware of their surroundings is lame, but that way you can at least try to imagine you're in a race, instead of trying to escape the carmageddon behind you.

    Span/random + a weaker car for the player = almost a challenge.

EDIT: Anyway op, try both and see what you prefer.
