How can I get BeamNG to run better on my hardware

I have a laptop that can run BeamNG (Just) and I want to know how much further I can optimise my pc and BeamNG to get a good 30+ FPS with Ultra looking graphics settings. So far, I found out how to take advantage of using the boost clock because for some reason (DELL) has disabled the boost clock of my CPU, so I used QuickCPU to enable TurboBoost and Enhanced SpeedStep and disable C1E and bi-Derectional PROCHOT (used to play at 2.42GHz, now 2.93GHz) and enable the max performace power plan. In the world editor, I lowered the shadows to 512 and set the graphics settings everything lowest except lighting that is at low and shadows at all. I got rid for the trash items in wcusa to improve FPS. In the end, I get 20FPS in wcusa.

CPU: Intel Core i5-1135G7 @2.42GHz 4 Cores 8 Threads 4.20GHz Boost 28W TDP
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz
i-GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics 80EU
STORAGE: 256GB NVME AND 1TB SATA 6 DRIVE
MONITOR: 1920X1080 60FPS
FORM FACTOR: LAPTOP
GAMING TEMPS: 60C - 70C

Btw vulkan just crashes when I try to use it. Clearing cache does not do anything.

 

dont think you can. tried it on a slightly higher spec intel iris xe graphics g7 96EU and performance is mediocre.
might want save up for a decent desktop instead

 

I think the devs need to optimize Beam more, games like FH5 run amazing on my hardware but I think the gameplay is boring so I only play BeamNG.

 

Well Forza has a lot more simplified physics

 

well great news. they didnt.

 

try putting the speed shift epp setting (if quickcpu has that setting) to zero which forces cpu to max turbo permanetly so it will always give max performance. raise the max power limit up by 10-15 watts as well.

 

That is what I did, just in the uefi and results in a 10-15 watt increase.

Stop swearing your head off and I did not ask for some silly reaction to a reply I made, I asked for how I could increase the performance of my laptop. Go somewhere else if you want to cause chaos, not here. I can’t believe I have to write this to some stranger on the internet that is acting up like this on the BeamNG forums.

 

I get around 30+ FPS in Italy and I have the same specs as you other than 8gb instead of 16 and I don't have boost on. I do play on 1600x900 on resolution so you are going to have to sacrifice in that aspect. I play with everything on low other than lighting quality which is lowest and partial shadows. Anti aliasing is off and vsync is off as well. Tyre marks are on 1000 and grass is on 0.25.

 

how does forza even run at all?

I have a similar (albeit a little better) laptop for work, and that one also barely runs beam. 20-30fps on WCUSA, about 45 on gridmap 2.0. If it wouldn't take a few hours I could download FH5 on it and check that ones performance, but oh well
Best bet would probably be to turn down the resolution, or saving up for a better computer, as shit as this sounds.

 

I just let fh5 download overnight and halfway during the day, my internet is not particularly fast though with 2.5Mb/s download so it would take you a shorter time if you have faster internet.

I also run dual channel, that doubles fps. Check if your laptop has a extra memory slot (can be found in task manager) and is known to be repairable, watch a YouTube tutorial of the teardown, and buy some more memory, matching speed and size to the other stick.
