How can i edit Sound files?

i'm thinking of recording my Fridge for a vehicle Engine sound how do i do it?
like to replace the sound or to find the files for it
i manage to edit the jbeam engine files for horsepower and RPM's thank you all
and one more question
How can i upload my edited vehicle?

It is quite big subject, there are three parts, recording, editing the sound and getting sound into game.

Recording and editing are not easy and even harder to explain, so there is not many that can actually help with that.

Fastest way for you to get working with something is try to find information about how to edit sound for game use, then you can try record and edit it, but you will really need to practice a lot and work hard to learn how to make sounds.
