Beamng producer is a very passionate and talented producer but the choice of game engine prevents the producer Hopefully transition to unreal engine 4. Beamng drive, gamers and developers deserve it
What...? Switching game engines now would be like restarting the entire game's development; It's too far along now to justify changing to another game engine just for better visuals and whatnot. It's like having to move your house to another lot just because you want a better view or whatnot; Sure it can be done, but at that point you'd be better off building another house on the new lot. The same goes for the game engine; It's literally the foundation of everything in BeamNG, next to the physics simulation.
Also, this question have been asked for Unity and other engines. https://www.beamng.com/threads/would-it-be-possible-to-port-beamng-to-unity.14789/#post-238345 And there is technical reasons too. The physics is really CPU intensive and those commercial engines do not have enough spare room for this purpose.
