Re: The High Resolution Cloth Tester It tends to tip over if you drive against the sides of the frame at ~50 km/h.
Re: The High Resolution Cloth Tester There's a reason why you're not supposed to get the wheels stuck in it.
Re: The High Resolution Cloth Tester There seem to be two things that make it less stable at the moment. One is the weight of the nodes that make it up, they have to be light to make it realistic but that really makes it a lot less stable. The other is when it tears. Without tearing it almost never glitches out but it's not as interesting. And you're right its not just pressurewheels unfortunately, the old hubwheels do it too but a bit less.
Bits of mesh tend to disappear on respawn after the physics has a panic attack. This has nothing to do with the cloth tester, but is a 'feature' from .drive itself. Send any vehicle into properly made water at 500km/h and you'll see the same thing happening.
Oh my, it's so impressive... Almost like that cloth from Nvidia Flex demo (remember it?)! Just one question: will the engine of this game be able to cope with such demanding things at some point? This cloth is one example, second is crashing cars at really high speeds. If not, that will be a PITA of it forever .
