I am trying to setup an underwater tunnel on my map, I want to be able to use zones or triggers to disable or hide the water block object once the player enters the tunnel. I've read through several threads on the T3D forums where people have done this, but none of them explains how to properly code the trigger or Zone. I mostly know how to work with zones and triggers I just need some help on coding them so the water effects do not render when driving in the tunnel. Right now I just dug a hole in the terrain for the tunnel to fit into, then sized the water block so that it sits on top of the tunnel. This is not ideal as it limits the amount of room I can use, and leaves ugly holes in the terrain I will have to cover up with a mesh. I already have the whole tunnel inside of zones, I did this for setting the ambient lighting, I'm hoping there is a way to adjust the zones so that water does not render inside of them. If that is not possible I know it should be with triggers at both ends of the tunnel, If I knew what code to use. Any ideas?
Man I'm not too sure on this, never tried it before. Did you ask LJFHutch on this? EDIT: Or Gabe, Tom?
Not directly, I was hoping for a dev response on the thread. This kind of T3D technical shizwaz isn't really common knowledge..
