I had the same problem whilst making my boat (which I've now abandoned), but nobody replied to the post I made, so I don't know what the problem is either. Sorry . I thk it could be something to do with the fact that it only has one layer (like on spongebob's face) and the texture is only mapped on one side. This means that if you go inside him and look at the face it will be there.
