Having controllers vibrate in a way similar to force feedback.

Basically, my idea is to use the built in tumblers in most controllers to vibrate if you're exceeding the limits of a car's grip, in a similar way to how motors in wheels activate with force feedback. Didn't word this the best, but bleh.

Would be nice if they utilitzed my xbox one controller's vibration motors in the triggers for when you brake traction. If you hit bumps on the right side the right side maybe vibrate real quick, same for the other side. Would be nice. But Steering wheels should come first.

I'm sure we'll get there; FFB is in it's early alpha stages (probably pre-alpha).

Only problem I'd see other than the implementation itself is that the vibration motors take a while to spool up, so you'll notice a bit of lag when using them. Then again, a 360 controller won't really get close to a FF wheel anyways, but whatever.

Not exactly. When playing a game such as CoD you get a near-instant reaction with them. Since they are standard motors with weights placed on them, they don't take long to get up to speed.

You'd think with all the car fans in here we'd know that electric motors don't take very long at all to get up to speed. The first Tesla, aka the electric Elise has much faster acceleration than the regular Elise. How about the electric SLS compared to it's petrol powered brother and being way faster?

Also if you've ever used something like XBCD to control a controler where you can have control of the rumblers you can tell in there just how quick they get to speed. If you click it from 0 to 50% you will notice almost instant rumbling. Not much delay at all.
