Having a lot of mods

I thought that this was a game you could play without needing mods, which I was correct about.
From nearly all posts I saw that contained mod discussion I noticed that nearly everyone has about 200 to 500 mods installed. In Garry's Mod you quickly get a really slow and low FPS game because of the many mods. In this game, do a lot of mods affect your game's FPS and running speed? Asking in general, not related to any computer specs.

To answer your question, it doesn't affect performance much. Mods are more ram used, so if you have low ram it will affect you earlier, but if you have 16gb it'll be a lot of mods before a slow down.
This game is loaded differently, so it doesn't affect you much.

i have 102 mods, i don't see any difference in my preformance
