Hello, I have been attempting this for a long time. I've racked up enough but minimal Blender knowledge to do it. I have cut the roof off and smoothed all corners. Now I am looking to export it to the game and have no clue how to do so. Thank you
From my experience in the past this is how you do it: 1 go to file-export-collarada-name the file to what you want the body too be called 2 once the dae is on your desktop get the entire i series file in this case on to your desktop 3 find the body jbeam file in the folder, once you have found it copy the body text and paste it again in the same file but not on-top of each other, just one after one and other 4. At the top of the pasted one you should see a text that goes something like this [i_series_body] (probably not that but just and example) and say if you called the dae I series convertible you would add to end of the text in the bracket _convertible. 5 pretty much underneath that is a text that goes [i series body] (again probably not that just an example) and at the end of the word body you would put a space then convertible without an underscore and save it to desktop 6 make a folder called whatever you want the mod in mod manager to be called and make a folder to put in there called vehicles and make one lets say is called i series convertible and put that in vehicles. 7 grab the dae and body jbeam and put them in the folder thats in vehicles folder and put it in mods folder. 8 your done There could be some mistakes but thats how it worked when i did it a few months back.
Thank you so much for explaining this man! As someone new to modding I am not overly experienced, but I’m sure I will get better with time. --- Post updated --- I have ran into an issue, maybe you know how to resolve this. I added the mirror modifier and it has mirrored everything on the body, the steering wheel and the spare wheel. How can I have it so it just mirrors the things I edit? Thanks
What I mean is I am doing the body and used the mirror modifier for most of it. Now the spare tyre has duplicated when the mirror modifier is turned on but if I turn it off this happens. Thanks
Click on the body and go into the modeling section, grab the nodes of the weirdend out objects and move them along to the otherside
Sorry, because I'm new to this it is quite difficult to me. Do you mean grab the objects I want duped or the wheel that is on the wrong side? Thank you
Sorry for this man, but if it is okay and you have the time then it would be really helpful. It won't let me upload file here for some reason (it is a blender file)
Aight will take a look --- Post updated --- So basically a few things, 1 every single texture in blender has .001 on the end of it so ingame nothing it textured 2 mirror never works in this game, i mirrored the bits that were missing back onto the model and it just ruind it ingame. I have no idea what else to do to this :/
You can mend the parts manualy but it will take a while. Your better starting this all over again, i know it sucks but unless you want to go through 2 hours of pain redoing the textures so they dont conflict with eachother theres no other option.
Okay thanks for the advice. Should I do it side by side so it won't clip? I think the body merged itself twice lol. --- Post updated ---
Hey, the model is finished now, I am confused on step 3. So I have got the ETK I folder on desktop and the convertible .dae, what do you mean by the rest of step 3? Thank you
Ill have a go at doing it for you later (unable to access pc atm) Do you mind sending the updated dae again?
