I used to play beam on a 2012 MAcBook Pro with windows tossed in. Wouldn't recommend, lagged on low graphics w no shadows.
before i actually bought beam (put me in jail i don't care) i tried to install it on a Dell XPS from 2008. that thing had some low power Core 2 Duo, integrated graphics (you know, those that minecraft won't work with) and three gigabytes of ram. the only good thing about that computer was the fact it ran vista (which isn't a broken mess like people call it, was actually extremely stable and fast) that was somewhen in 2020, or maybe even 2021. good times not gonna lie
How did you even get the idea to do that? Let alone actually doing it? Bloody insane, lol. Did it even launch? If so, I bet you got around 5 fps on Grid Small Pure.
1. don't ask what was going through my head 2. it unfortunately did not launch. which is for the better propably
Damn! sadly, that's what I expected. Did you try launching the tech-demo on it? From what I remember, it actually wasn't too resource intensive. Could be wrong, the worst computer I tried it on was that 2012 macbook with windows crammed in.
i did not take the tech demo into consideration. sadly i no longer have the dell, but i did keep its backplate because where else would i get a windows vista key
