As of posting this thread, Wreckfest is 10 years and 15 days old (not including leap years) It sure don't look 10 years old, but on January 15, 2014, Wreckfest released to the public Happy birthday Wreckfest indeed
Too bad it appears that they are no longer updating it. The last update was a year ago. When I went to PAX East last year they had a new game in development with THQ. It looked to be a cross between Wreckfest and Ridge Racer
Let's hope it doesn't have the same fate as Team Fortress 2 or Scrap Mechanic, because that game could be taken so much further
That crossover is "Wreckreation" it also looks like a "spiritual" successor to burnout. I'm hyped about it.
I did, and honestly I think Wreckfest deserves a sequel. Considering Wreckfest is the call to fame for THQ Nordic, I think it needs it. Not this silly arcadey nyoom nyoom game.
Did you ever play Burnout? Burnout Paradise Remaster especially, is one of if not the best racing games of all time (in my opinion 80+% on Metacritic and 95%+ on Google). Sometimes arcade games are just more fun. Plus wreckfest is also arcady. Trust me, if it lives up to burnout's name, then you will enjoy it.
I agree. Don't forget, however, arcadey nyoom nyoom games are their forte. I mean, they've made every single Hot Wheels game*, and if that isn't arcadey, then I don't know what is. *I haven't actually checked, but they made all of the Hot Wheels Wii games, anyway.
I know wreckfest is more arcadey, but its not the arcadey that apeals to 7 year olds. its a more "dirty"* style of arcade game *The community is Xbox 360 COD voice chat lol
Have you ever played any Burnout games? If you haven't I suggest "Burnout Paradise Remastered", it is well worth the 20-30$ price tag. To understand my point of view you must try a Burnout game. Here's a taste of it... FYI the blue muscle car at the beginning of the first video is the first car you get, and the cars get much faster.
