im curious, how did you get the cars out of GTAV? From what I've seen there currently is no way to get them open in a 3D program.

To to get them into beamng you would have to convert the car to .dae somehow and either skin them to an official car or create a jbeam yourself.

Reread. He said IV not V. 4 not 5 for those that cannot read roman numerals.

But yeah. The mesh would have to be exported to a .dae and JBeamed in game. Then along the way you'll find the R* meshes are utter bullshit anyway.

Yes I read that wrong, I saw V from my small cell phone screen scrolling too fast

GTAV has no way of getting the cars out yet

GTAIV you have to convert the .cdi files to open them in a 3D program then export it to .dae I may post a video of this if I get a chance, I think there is a third party program already to convert .cdi to other formats, maybe I can post a link.

And those GTA IV meshes?... They are terrible I would clean the topology up a little if it's feasible.

    --edit--

here is a link to a tutorial, I want to also give this a try since i have gta iv installed

My point is that it's possible to import an smd model into blender, then export it as a usable beamng file. Also, sparkiv exports a smd model format from wft.
