    first of all, this is my first post, so please bare with me if this is the wrong place to ask

    how moddable is this game, can models be added to it, as in car's maps etc. and where can I find out more information such as modding tools, programs etc

    Very moddable I'd say.
    You can insert new vehicles, objects, maps, scripts, scenarios, etc.
    Just visit the MODS section and HERE to see yourself.
