Here, it's the thread concerning the developpment of my new map , GREECE. She mesure 4096x4096 scale 1:1 , so she's 4x bigger than my others maps. Very far to be finish. here i'm building a village, and checking again near the arena zone, i see that the shadows doesn't work well. The columns and walls doesn't project shadows correctly. The tunnels passing under the arena are sunny and it's incorrect. So, if you have solution for this, i take !!! Improvments on the village. I polished the Dionysos track. I builded some roads, some very old in bad state and some smoother with fresh asphalt. However, they lack a bit of decorations/ details. Some place are windy, others faster. I've putted the guardrails and textures. I changed some details here and there. Smoothed a little the dyonisos track at some place. I lost a lot of time to fightning me against the terrain textures and groundcover in order to have lavander and wheat fields. On the plan, the greens pathes, white road, and a portion of blue roads are new The map is really well filled, regarding roads. Need to keep space to put other things in the futur The next step is the work a the vegetation. A part of forest, a part low vegetation, the rest between. I think i will make some wooden barriers and stone walls to put along the roads/pathes. Some buildings here and there Quite boring today since the Beamng dirt road decal texture disappeard at some point. Need to find a solution. My PC ventilated a lot today. Last week it was not the case. Strange .... may use an other texture, it seem to works. Soon i will upload to you the last version of the map thanks to all of them will come to feed this 5/6 years old project There is a region / area of the Greece who look like a bite at what i'm making ? One guy suggested a name, it"s cool, but it was for an island. My map is not. An other idea ?

@Itntai @AdamZ5 merci thanks I've done a loooong break because i was tied of this game. I played "rigs of rod" and switch to beamng before it was on steam. I ve spend maybe 2000h or more idk to play and modding. May be an overdose .... Very tied of the fact the game is a driving simulator extremly realistic and 90% 80% 70% (?) a big majority of the people use only it for just crash cars. It's very pity because the game give an incredible gameplay, we really feel the traction, the grip, hard to explain but we really feel the vehicule. I don't feel this on a lot of game. I'ved spend hundred hours to do rally. It's really hard because the lesser mistake is fatal, but when i succed i found this very rewarding/gratifying. I'm come back here because i love the game, i love modding, i love create generaly (paint, sculpture, video, wood) and i dont whant to lost this map unfinished. So many time allreally invested. Many time i remember this project. During the christmass hollidays, it come back on my mind, and i ceded. I will go at the end of this project/map The feedback on my other maps was really good. (i come back for this too) I don't think "greece" perform as well as "fujigoko". I know i can make a descent job but it ask a lot of time. As i work on it only the weekend, it will ask maybe at least one year sorry for the novel news: like i said, i've start to put vegetation on the map. I want some forest at some area of the map. Putting trees, i asked to me "maybe make the roads/pathes before ?" So, there are an asphat road in more, and 2 dirt roads (one is still under construction, grass dirt rocks around the path are long to make) they are winding. Next i want to develop again the network of dirt pathes. 1 or 2 pathes in more. When all the roads will done, I will put the vegetation. When this last will be done, I will put the map on the mod thread
i really like the small city part, it's really fun to drive through them with the ESC struggling to keep the cars going uphill, and i like trying to squeeze in the little "parking spots" between the houses. it would be really nice to see that part expand, or maybe add a new small village with even tighter streets --- Post updated --- --- Post updated ---
i'm sory but i don't think to expand this village. He is allready repetitive since i ve made it with maybe 5 "module" of house. In the futur, i will add some decoration, some hollyhock 'rose trémière" and other flowers and some others details. in a fisrrt time they is so many work to do i have more or less planing myself .....loong time. it"s the first goal to achieve in second time, an other village is planed with more actual houese and streets i keep your remark in a cormer of may head howerver
what is the problem ? it's a map begining in 2020. by saturation, i've done loong break. And i come back on it in 2025. the old thread is close (i' can't post on it (why? may be i'm nul) so i've make a new one) the 1st post is the place where i put all the historic of the evolution of the map i'm sorry for my bad english.
