I have an obsession over Dell Optiplexs. Don't ask. I like collecting Windows Vista and XP PCs. Am I being weird, or does anyone buy/keep old PCs?
I'm typing this on a $10 Dell Optiplex 320. Here's a video of it revving.
Anyway, if you do have one, what is it, and what are its specs?
(My Dell Optiplex 320: Intel Pentium D, 2GB DDR2, no GPU of any kind and IDK what PSU.)

A Dell Dimensions 4700, two Dell Optiplexes. One an old 98 machine running Windows 2000, while the other is a GX280, running nothing. I think there is a MS-DOS machine somewhere too.

Little older than a GX280. Just note: Those optiplexes are heavy, and can be hard to open.

I have a computer room in my apartment. Oldest PC in my LAN is an Athlon XP 1800+ running Gentoo.

Among the semi-operative machines, an Olivetti 386 and an Amiga 500 Plus, and some more oldies in my garage, including a vintage Windows ME PC with a couple of 3dfx Voodoo II cards in SLI.

    :)

I used to hoard computers for parts and all kinds, got a bunch of old Pentium 3 and P4 machines laying around, probably going to scrap them soon.

I have a pair of core 2 duo / core 2 quad DELL motherboards supporting up to 8gb of DDR2 800 memory, with pci-express gfx, if anyone's got a dead one. They're new, didn't pay an arm and a leg for them though. I also have one that boots/works but doesn't have a working PCI-express gfx slot. I don't have any Optiplexes here though... just custom build ones and some HP something-or-another.
Standard m-ATX motherboard, standard psu plug, etc. They actually are pretty nice and boot fast, but it's the only core2 series board I could buy that had four ram slots, luckily it was on clearance and I could fix my sister's pc for like CHEEP with an EVGA PSU and all.
You can buy them on amazon, because it's usually the board or PSU that goes in these, they use cheap caps and junk PSUs in dells.

Excluding my current PC and laptop, I have 6 old computers scattered around my place, 2 of which are laptops. None of them work and are atleast 10 years old (one ran ME and everything else ran XP as I recall). I legit don't know really anything about them or what is in them besides one having a GT 430 card and some Intel Celeron.
