I pretty much bought a new computer for this game...and have played it quite a lot It however feels quite lonely without proper AI (yet) and no multiplayer. With a ghost car I think it would add a lot of playability and fun. Firstly, I'm not a programmer But I would have thought to record a ghost car wouldn't be too hard to implement. 1/ Would only need to record controller input/keypress including duration. (only a simple macro recorder?) 2/ Not necessarily have to record vehicle position/rotation on the map. And wouldn't matter too much if the ghostcar drove a slightly different path on each playback as this would add variability. The path would be completely different anyway if the player car collided with it. 3/ The ghost car could have the option of collisions on or off... possibly 2 extra menu items in the AI in-game app. 4/ To start the ghost car recording.... change the menu item in the AI app to "ghost car collisions" or "ghost car no collision" 5/ To stop the recording, press tab to select next car which could have been already set-up at the start-line ready for a "race" or "drift battle" or "drag race" whatever. 6/ To stop the ghost car from playing its cycle change the menu item in the AI app to disable. 7/ Could change the vehicle type but keep the ghost car recording for added variability. 8/ Ghost car could respawn to start at the end of its recording or when pressing R 9/ This would be almost a replay function, but require much less programming?. I would guess this would be the simplest/quickest way for the developers to add another player that doesn't require too heavy programming. But would also add loads of gameplay longevity .
