The mesh actually looks pretty nice! There are some parts that look like they could have less detail though. Also try to lose some of the vertices, its a little too far on the high poly side.
yes, its a bit high poly at the moment, that will result in some strangeness when it deforms (spikes, etc). Keep that in mind.
Didn't know that's how things worked in BeamNG. Will try to reduce it for the one in BeamNG. I'll use the high poly model for other projects of mine.
Yes, when the model is to high poly, the spikiness and strange deformation that is present in "low quality meshslaps" or "youtube clickbait cars" is what results.
Still working on it. I've slowed it down a bit due to other projects of mine but I still have to add some stuff to the body and reduce parts of it.
Not completely!! I have been busy with other projects of mine and will give you all an update in the coming weeks. I'm worried about open sourcing the 3D model since it'll be free for anyone to use by downloading it here.
Please give this guy a break, he's already said he's got a busy schedule multiple times. Asking the same thing over and over isn't going to help. Why not offer to help him with something instead?
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates on progress with this model. I've been very busy with school and recently, moving. The model's shell is 99% complete. It needs the structural components modeled, textures, jbeam, etc. My only concern now is releasing one of the most, if not the most known, accurate EV1 model into the hands of anyone who wants to use it. I may recreate it with fewer details and accuracy, while still making it an enjoyable and almost 100% accurate model. I'll continue to make progress finishing the model and will let you know you all what I decide on. I've seen multiple attempts of an EV1 mod for BeamNG so I'd like to follow through with this for the community.
