This is something I started on yesterday, partly from an idea, partly from boredom, and partly just for fun. I'm not sure how it will work out as I develop it, but it is working so far. I created this thread so you can give feedback on my progress and offer suggestions on which direction this should roll as far as development goes. I'll post here every so often with a new in-game screenshot showing the mod's progress. Color key: Not started, in progress, finished. Bus body Cab cut-away "Filler" right door Overhead lights Rear lights Mechanical door Emergency door Trim Windows Lettering Interior modifications Texturing Jbeaming (currently using the "Cargo Box" Jbeam) If I forgot anything useful in that list, let me know!
Was very busy today with band-related stuff, so not much done on the bus. I decided to change the back a bit. And an in-game shot:
ah, reminds me of the good old days of 2015 https://www.beamng.com/threads/hseries-short-buss-and-dseries-camper-models.17823/ now that we are on topic, the roof looks a little bit to square and the lights too big?...
Given the general shape of such buses, all you have to do is modify the box truck's jBeam --- Post updated --- Would you mind if I made my own short-bus mod? I'd just like to get some practice in and don't want you to think I am trying to copy you
I got Blender on a computer at my vocational school, so I can still work on the bus. @Acrain7 I wasn't entirely sure what you meant by "the roof" in general, so I just rounded the sides near the windows and also rounded the top a bit more. And I also redesigned the front light bar a bit. No in-game screens, I can't get Steam from here. @Octothorpe Obelus I have no problem with you creating your own bus mod. EDIT: Just realized I forgot to upload the updated file to my Drive, and now I'm on my way home. I'll work on something else until then.
No, I just got absorbed into other things and never made any progress. I'll update the first post, obviously I'll never post "every day" at this rate...
