Hey, @Sithhy™! I just wanted to tell you that I love the idea and I've been wanting a Hummer in this game since I first played it. So please take your time and make it HIGH quality! But on the other hand don't use so much time that you lose motivation and the mod ends up dead, that would be a disaster. If there is something you can't figure out ask someone for help, instead of just getting tired of it all. When you get there you should release a beta, that will make troubleshooting much easier and you can get some good advices of what to add. Maybe you should consider not to post it on the repo and use the EA model or getting the Forza model (I don't know if this is possible but maybe after the PC leak a few weeks back). I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck! I support you 100%!! Thanks.
Hey. Thanks for writing & motivating me But to answer your questions: Yes, I will TRY to make it as high quality as I possibly can but as knowing me & my non-existing 1337 Blender skills, it will take some time to do a good model of all the parts like doors, hood, interior etc. so it would look noice in the end. Also, for now I'm trying to do just the basic amount of models without any custom ones because I want to release it soon, even though the mod itself still has a long way to go I was considering to use the EA model at first because it seemed good for me & a big source of parts (seriously, it had MANY parts) but as I would like to try releasing it on the repo, I had to start making a totally new model for everything it needs to be functional... & as for the Forza model: I wanted to use it, but it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaad... It's too detailed & everything is a one big piece, so no chance of extracting specific parts from it when you want to keep your sanity And also, I'm currently working with @atv_123 to make some of the more detailed models for the interior (like gear sticks) so the mod will be even better
Hello, i've been following this thread for a few days now, and i just wanna say; it's great to finally see a hummer in beamng and i hope you keep up the great work. don't let this one die like the others, okay?
Have you thought of config types, like those that Honest Nick made? I have some suggestions: Military: Jungle/Forest Camo: Desert: Variants:
I indeed have, but for now I want to focus on the more or less stock versions & add some variants/configs later on
Trying my best to make it as good as I possibly can, but as for me being a beginner, I have no idea how the quality will turn out
This thing will be quite bullet-proof when you're done with it. I can imagine it will climb over all sorts of things with its all round independent suspension, and approximately 16 inches of ground clearance...?
Glad you like the Gear Sticks! Whenever you need models you can shoot me a message and I will try my best to help! Also, if you were sending me messages Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, I apologize for not being there as it was Memorial Day in America and I was busy creating a parade float... things got a little insane for me. But I should be back to normal now
