Beta Released!!! This is my first mod for BeamNG. Installation Instuctions: Just extract and put in Beamng/vehicles folder. Credits: Gabester: Original truck RORCAT(me): Trophy truck mods "ORIGINAL POST" Hi, I've been working on my first mod for beamNG for a while now. It's still Work in progress! It's a Gavril D15 with a Trophy Truck parts mod. It is a separate truck from the stock. I've got more mods and vehicles in the pipeline. Still need to finish the N&B mod Here's some pics. That render of the buggy is my next project! I currently need some help getting the jbeam files set up.
YES! it is about time somebody makes a prerunner/trophy truck style mod! looks great and can't wait! <- that rhymes
This looks pretty sweet! Can't wait for it to be released! If you want, I could beta test Oh, and hopefully you plan on redoing the rear bumper, see the post below mine to see what I'm thinking it should be like.
Oh yeah, this is cool. How much testing have you done? The D-series has a nasty habit of insta-flipping when turning, I think I see a wider wheelbase in your pics? That's good, is it less roll over prone?
dang someone got to it before i could finish mine oh well just means I can really take my time on mine.... awesome mod though man
Thanks for all the comments everyone! Release isn't too far off. I might repaint it and do a few engine mods. Still need to fix the exhaust pipe n&b. Some new pics. The 1st one is what happens in a 115 mph rollover...
Are you planning on modifying the suspension? because I would love to see some long travel suspension with high speed damping, hit the ground and the truck doesn't even bounce back up. haha! keep up the good work!
Beta is good, only thing I've noticed so far is that the brake rotors are off-center. - - - Updated - - - Oh, and the wheel jbeams are a bit off. Other than that, this truck looks great! Nice work.
That's why it's a beta. The wheels jbeams are off center intentionally for stability. I plan on fixing the brake rotors. Thanks for pointing that out.
Really liking this, it feels like quite a bit of effort has been put into it so far. The only complaints I have are the issues already stated, the spare wheels quite often deform in strange ways, and the bottles in the passenger compartment seem to be part of the exhaust. Keep up the great work. Edit: The bottles are actually part of the new roll bar. More edit: The rear fenders tend to glitch out sometimes when you directly hit them, hit into a wall in reverse at speed, or land on your ass after a jump. I apologise for picking out all these bugs. Even more edit (Bugs jump out at me periodically damn it): The rear left wheel seems to have more travel than any of the others
GREAT progress so far! This by far is my most Favorited D-15 mod. Beta is great btw! Keep up the good work. Oh I used to have a pro racing RC when I was younger of this same concept. One small detail I would change, the front fenders are a wee bit wide, I would bring them in a little, just my opinion. EDIT: The interior roll cage needs some connecting: (imported from here)
Rorcat, you are my hero. I stuck my crawler engine, suspension, and tire files on this and oh my god. (imported from here) Finally! The off-road version can drift! Thank you for spacing the front wheels out, that's the one thing that the truck needs. And the cool flared fenders really ice the cake. I'm in love. My edited files have found a new home.
