Game Won't Launch - Need Help!

Hello everyone,

I’m sorry to post about this issue here, but I’m out of options and really need some help. Ever since I got this game back in December 2019 (I’ve put in 333 hours), I haven’t experienced any problems. But today, when I tried to start the game, it opens in the launcher, I click "launch," and then it just closes as if I never launched it.

I’ve already tried restarting my PC and even reinstalling the game, but nothing worked. I love this game so much, and honestly, I can't imagine going without it. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I found some time and took a look into the log file and I found the launcher exit code
0xC0000135 - STATUS_DLL_NOT_FOUND
What means something is missing. The BeamNG error code documentation says: "The OS is unable to load a file that is required to run the game. A missing DLL may belong to the game, the OS or one of the required components (DirectX e.g.)."

In the log file it says in your case that one specific dependency is missing:

65.28662|E|bng::Launcher::findMissingDependencies| *** 1 dependencies missing
65.28662|E|bng::Launcher::findMissingDependencies| * vcruntime140_1.dll

It's hart to say from my side how this can happen since you said, that you have reinstalled the game. You can download the Microsoft Visual C Runtimes and manually install (reinstall) that package. Normally this should have been already done by the game installer, but idk.

oh my god. i reinstalled the vcruntime140_1.dll and restarted the pc again and it now works!!!!!! thank you very very much man you were really helpful!
