Game launched in background - How to solve

Sometimes the game can launch in the background and can only be visible in the Task Manager. If you experience this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Please follow these instructions and make sure that your antivirus or similar software is not blocking the game by mistake.
2. Navigate to Steam → Library, then Right click on BeamNG.drive → Properties → Local Files, and select "Verify Integrity of Game Files"
3. Create a new folder in a folder which doesn't require special permissions (for example: C:\BeamNG.drive)
4. Navigate to Steam → Library, then Right click on BeamNG.drive → Manage, and select Browse Local Files
5. Find startup.ini and open it with notepad or your preferred text editor.
6. Find UserPath =
   
   And add the path to the new folder (from step 3).
   Example: UserPath = C:\BeamNG.drive
7. Save your changes
