Game is laggy on a map I'm working on

    I'm working on a circut de la sarthe map but when I imported a large part of the terrain the frames per second dropped by about 35 fps, but the frame rate is normal on all the other official maps.

    I don't know what is wrong, I have a good computer for BeamNG.drive. Here are my computer specs

    OS: Windows 10
    GPU: 960 GTX
    CPU: i5-10400
    RAM: 16GB
    Storage Space: 216 GB free
    DirectX: Version 12

    I can run all the other maps at 60 fps without a problem, how can I fix this?

    judging by the images in community screenshots and what you said, it looks like the model has just been dropped in from another game.
    it's likely too high poly to be rendered at once, so you might wanna chop it into sections.

    also i've noticed with certain map ports skidmarks will cause problems with high poly objects. i assume separating objects would help if you're having issues there.


    i'm just guessing, i'm not too technical with how the game works, but i've noticed this with other maps. it might be your issue.

    Ok thanks! Your right it is from Assetto Corsa. I'll try dividing it into smaller sections.

    Do you have the rights to port this Assetto Corsa model? Someone from long ago posted a Lotus 49 with the model coming from Assetto Corsa and it got deleted.

    Yes I do, I sent a pm to the author and he said he was fine with me using it. btw the map was from race department https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/circuit-24h-lemans-2017.2482/

    Yep. I'll work on that. Sorry it might take a little while because I think the conversation we had was too old and got deleted, just wait a little while I wait for a response from the author, I just asked him again.

    Sorry it's taking so long, the author of the mod hasn't been seen on the race department site for more than a week so it might take a while for him to respond.

    RIP blender. How do I fix this? I can't make maps for beamng.drive if blender is broken, I reinstalled blender multiple times on blender, tried installing from the official site, and installed latest driver for my 960 GTX , nothing worked:(

    I guess get a better card. Thats a 5 year old card.

    also jesus christ its GTX 960 not 960 GTX

    It was working before and worked perfectly fine on a 710 GT...

    nm I just forgot to have my monitor plugged into my card. Now I can continue work on my Circut de la Sarthe map:) :)
