Okay so basically I have been getting really bad lag spikes that make the game unplayable. The game will run at its normal 45 FPS but then the game would hang for like 10 seconds every 30 seconds. My computer is powerful enough to run the game (Specs: Processer: Intel i7-8700K Graphics Card:Nividia GTX 1060 With 6GB of VRAM Motherboard:Asus Republic of Gamers Maximus X Hero RAM:16 GB Of DDR4) Not the best specs in the world, I know, but it should still run the game. My power plant is set to high (Even Though It's A Desktop). the game's priority is set to high. I tried disabling all the mods, setting the graphics to minimum, closing all other applications, I've tried it all. I really do not want to reinstall the game, but if thats what I need to do then so be it. Hope you guys can help, thanks!

Generally changing priority can make all sort of issues to happen, so those are better at default.

10 second stops are quite big, that could be some hardware issue.

Have you tested playing in windowed mode and set window bit smaller in size so you can see if some messages pop up on background?

How other games and 3d benchmarks run, any slowdowns with anything else?

Also from game options turn automatic mod updates off if they are enabled, just in case.

I put it on high priority all the time before and it worked fine

Nope, other games that are just as demanding work just fine

I disabled mods all together and it still had the delays.

Game changes each update so changing priority can mess up things now which it did not before.

It can be that drivers cause issues, there has been too many bad drivers lately, try 416.34 Nvidia driver for example, some say 399.07 was best for 1000 series of GPUs, haven't had any issues with those drivers myself.

In addition to swapping GPU drivers, you could try stuff that I posted here as your issues are quite similar in there as you get really lot lower performance from the game than what you should get:
    https://www.beamng.com/threads/poor-performance-since-update.62377/

It is difficult issue to solve as some with exact same OS and hardware can run game fine, for some performance is really poor.

Also if you have reshade or anything like that make sure it is removed as it has caused issues for some.

Try to use msi afterburner to limit the fps, the system might be trying to push alot of power but the temps might be too high causing the gpu to downclock causing lagg spikes and by limiting the fps the system dosent have to push alot of frames making the gpu clock speeds stable and temps fine this aso happend to my laptop where the gpu was reaching 60+ c and the gpu was underclocking and causing huge lag spikes

    sorry for bad english

Hi! I just wanted to point out that you bumped an old thread. Just be aware that this is an old thread because if you respond to an old thread some poeple will make a big deal out of you responding to it. By the way bumping is when you respond to a thread that hasn't been responded to for 3 or 4 weeks. The last post on this thread was over a year ago so its probably dead.:)
