Funny FPS thing

    I got a new monitor... And somehow my FPS went through the ceiling?
    I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering how that's possible.

    Your new monitor has a higher resolution than the old one , right?

    if that's the case , you'll experience this in most of your games. you can lower the resolution in the settings. ..to get better fps

    higher resolution would cause fps loss not gain, complete opposite of what you said

    What i wanted to say was ;
    Higher resolution -> worse fps.

    Original poster said since getting a new monitor his FPS has gone up. You mentioned higher resolution as being a cause.
    Essentially you've said Higher resolution -> Better FPS.


    @Locofan2003 Even so, resolution could well be the cause if the new monitor has a lower resolution than the older one. Otherwise, god knows whats going on now/before.
