Hi there, I have gone through two cpus, 3 gpus so far and this issue has still occured. I have swapped between single channel and dual channel memory a lot. I am having a major CPU bottleneck on lowest settings, with all mods disabled. Here is the potential bottleneck screenshots. I do not have screenshots of when I had my rx480, so it is not included.

    Also my specs are:

    Ryzen 7 3700x
    ASRock b450 steel legend
    NVIDIA Quadro K2200 (placeholder GPU)
16gb of Corsair Venegence LPX 3200mhz RAM (dual channel)

Thanks in advance for the help.

P.S. just realized I have a mod on the vega 64 one, however the issue still stands. all other pics other than the before the cpu upgrade one are with mods disabled.

I would rather say that you're GPU-bound. Both CPUs you mentioned are more than enough to run BeamNG.
I played BeamNG with a GT 1030 before, your Quadro K2200 and Vega Graphics are weaker than my GT 1030 which already had trouble to run the game in Low 1080p even 720p, so I would recommend you upgrading your GPU instead. Your RX480 should be able to run BeamNG without any issues in Medium/High settings.

Sorry no, I was running a vega 64 graphics card. That is greatly more powerful than a gt 1030. Vega integrated is another story. I am stuck with a quadro k2200 since my vega 64 needed a return for other reasons. However, my cpu usage and gpu usage almost never goes over 40 while in beam, very confusing.

An easy way to check if you're within 'normal' CPU load in BeamNG is to see how many more FPS you get on grid map without traffic. Should be at least 1/3 more than on heavier maps like WCUSA. If not more.

Also check how much better it runs in Vulkan, as that's where it shines most.

Dual channel ram is definitely preferred and make sure to load the XMPP profile for max speed.

Finally lowest settings have a mind of their own, I'd say start with medium preset and from there lower settings for texture quality and lighting.

also if your BIOS is really old, it can't hurt to upgrade it since Windows power management for Ryzen CPUs got a lot better over the years.
