Name tells everything. I also did the thread to not go too off-topic in the update speculation thread . So who's the best ?
As an American who unironically doesn’t like America, French cars are better. ( totally not biased since I just went to France)
I like both tbh, since they're good at making different types of cars I love America's big brawny muscle cars of the 60s as well as the 80s Corvettes and fox body Mustangs But I also love the 90s hot hatches from baguette country
I was actually surprised how many twingos I saw in France, didn’t realize how common they are. All were of course beat to shit but that can be said for any car that’s ever been street parked in France
There is not one good thing under the Sun that can be said to have ever come out of France. It's all junk, horrendous question. Also, I do wish for a day that the so-called French people learn to just stop putting spaces between every single piece of punctuation in a sentence when they're speaking an actual language like English. Or they're just that too darn stubborn, it'll happen the same time Israel rebuilds the Third Temple I guess.
If that makes me the average, the mean, then that sounds to be an awfully rad group of people. Awesome. As you said you're full well American yourself, but unfortunately one of those contrarian sorts who really likes getting up close with europeans' knobs too much. America the country is cool, actually... Truly a controversial opinion nowadays fo real fo real. I can smell the 'grass is greener on the other side' type of thinking on you and I don't like it. Take a shower.
I can’t tell how much of this is sarcasm or if it’s all real, but hear me out. Ive spent the past 8 years in my life riding in 99% American vehicles. Probably why I’m so bored of them.
Actual American cars or things like the Ford C-max ? --- Post updated --- So i took a shower and i Can surely tell you something : You don't like the "green side" huh ? So i Guess you like Coal Rolling ? Then hear me out . French made lots of diesel back in the days . And they were known to smoke a lot . So you just need to buy a Citroën C15 (or Peugeot 205 diesel), place a straight pipe , some used Oil instead of diesel in the fuel tank, and you have the ultimate smoke maker .
1. If you care about fuel economy you’re kinda a bitch… lmao. 2. who cares, buy used. 3. French cars are pretty famous for being unreliable piles
Point 1 makes zero sense. Have you been outside and seen gas prices? News flash, even plenty of car enthusiasts don’t want to spend all their money on fueling their cars.
Car enthusiasts also don’t want a Prius. I don’t see anyone raving about the fuel economy of their enthusiast cars even after fuel prices have risen. Assuming we are talking about commuter cars anyway, all modern eco cars today have roughly the same fuel economy, doesn’t matter where you look. --- Post updated --- I guess I was a little harsh. I think people who don’t really care about cars care about fuel economy. And you’re not a bitch for that… But I don’t think it’s really a deciding factor in cooler enthusiast cars, which I think has been the topic of discussion for the most part.
Agree . There's a car enthusiast who once owned a Mercedes 500SEL and he said in one of his video that he mostly uses his bike because he had the V8 version of the 500SEL. --- Post updated --- At least you realized it so we Can sort of forgive you . But there's one thing i gotta clarify about car fans. There was a subreddit that doesen't exist anymore called "carmemes" and one of the memes on it talked about being a car fan. And it wanted to Say that we simply are a car fan if we like cars .
I don’t think being an enthusiast is constituted by not caring about fuel economy, but I guess that’s just me on this one. Sure, there are some cool Americans cars if you ask me like the focus rs, but if we had French cars being sold in the usa still, I’d by a French car 9 times out of 10 over an American car
So it's America's fault for no french cars in the US. The Citroën SM was made for the US . Turned out it was not authorised by the US because there was a reglementation that didn't allowed cars with ajustable height . And everytime you start it you had to wait a bit because it lift up --- Post updated --- So it's America's fault for no french cars in the US. The Citroën SM was made for the US .
