I'm having a problem with my g920 where the force feedback follows the car direction only until around 25 degrees and then stops and becomes weightless, I tried many cars that used to work before.

Same issue. The force-feedback behaves inexplicably. I'm not entirely sure how to explain what is wrong with it, but it's not what it was. Reset everything just like the others here and nothing works. The steering feels dead when you need it the most, especially when the car drifts slightly - The FFB is also entirely dead for almost a quarter turn in one direction, yet once it reaches the 0° mark dead center, it slams the wheel back hard. I can post a video or my settings if you like, but it seems others have already done so with the same issue. I am seconding that it doesn't work as intended.

    I am using a G29 here.

Can you guys please try turning off the oversteer assist in settings->gameplay and see if anything changes?

I haven't experienced this but a friend of mine did, he eventually found out it was because he had soft lock at 0%, i had mine at around 70% already, maybe it's the same cause for you guys?

When I did that, something did change, but the issue persisted. The car felt somewhat less "dead" when drifting, but the FFB was still very much present. I then tried the suggestion just below from Olrosse to turn the softlock up to 70%, and it actually partially fixed the problem. I still experience something "off" about the FFB, but it feels much more natural now, and it doesn't slam around like it did.

We're a bit at a loss here, there's a bunch of reports of something being wrong with FFB and/or steering so clearly something seems off, however, the reports are so wildly different that's it's impossible to tell what exactly is going on at the moment.

@NickRyge can you please make doubly sure that the oversteer assistant does indeed change something for you? (go back and forth between on and off a few times and check if it does indeed do weirder things with it on) If that comes out positive, please change the filter of your steering axis manually to "Direct" and see if the oversteer thingie still messes up. Also please let me know what the filter was set to originally before changing.

Background: By default, we try to use the correct filter for hardware, that means "Direct" for wheels. If the direct filter is active, the oversteer assistant should turn itself off as it's only meant for keyboard and gamepads. So I'd need to know where exactly things go wrong (Wrong manual filter select, wrong automatic filte detection for your wheel, assistant staying on despite filter being correct, etc)

Thank you & sorry for the issues

Alright, Ill be a little more specific this time, my bad.

I went back and forth turning it on and off and I feel no difference now, with the 70% steering softlock still on. The difference I felt when I wrote the second comment was negligible either way. The difference I had felt was that when drifting at speed, the force feedback would simply disappear. I had originally set the steering mode to "DIRECT", but had changed all my settings numerous times in frustration, so it was set to what I believe was "automatic" just prior to answering your comment, although Im not entirely sure. It may have been something else. Perhaps it did actually make a difference then, although I have since put it back to the direct mode.

I can confirm that when changing my settings to my ordinary setup with the direct-mode, oversteer assist turned off - and steering softlock at 0%, the problem reappears. I can also confirm that when I turn oversteer assist ON and softlock @ 70%, the issue is gone. I don't believe the issue I have is related to the oversteer assist, but it might have made a difference as I am unsure of which input mode I had my settings set to at the time.

When turning softlock to 70% or thereabouts, the issue goes away - However I still feel like there is a slight difference from how it used to feel.

The reason I have such a hard time explaining exactly what is wrong with the force feedback is because I can't really spot a pattern in the problem. It doesnt seem to respond to car weight or anything really, when I turn off the steering softlock. When I drift, the force feedback disappears entirely and the wheel doesnt move on its own until the car basically stands still - At which point the FFB slams back on and the wheel starts oscillating. When the car is at a standstill and I turn the wheel 90° to the left, FFB only works in the left direction. There is no resistance what so ever all the way up until the centerpoint in the right direction. - Just until it reaches the centerpoint, at which FFB slams on and makes the wheel oscillate again. I honestly don't really know why. It does however change slightly depending on what car I use, although the characteristics remain the same.

In conclusion, I don't think the oversteer assist has anything to do with this. It seems to be the softlock. If you need anything else from me, let me know.

Yeah, so i can relate to what you are saying.

No matter how much i try to mess around with FFB settings it still doesn't feel as it did before the 0.25 update.

    It feels just weird.

Just a heads up, we have identified 2 separate issues that affected steering wheels, and are working on fixes for them.

We are still on hold, trying to figure out if there's a 3rd issue or not, the one related to the Oversteer Reduction Assistant: we have read some reports mentioning this assistant as a possible factor, but have so far been unable to reproduce any issue related to that assistant, nor locate anything in the code that could point towards in that direction.

For anyone who suspects Oversteer Reduction Assistant is creating issues, can you please double check if that's really the case? By testing with vs without that assistant, in complete isolation (do not change any other settings, just the assistant alone, as not to contaminate your tests).

    Thank you!

I tested the Oversteer Reduction Assistant and i think this is not the problem.

I still have same issues as @NickRyge said, whether or not the Oversteer Reduction Assistant is turned on or off

The oversteer reduction" feature isn't made for use with a steering wheel anyways. This is for the gamepad or keyboard.
So the best thing to do when using a steering wheel, is disable this feature.
    (correct me if i'm wrong)

The feature should never kick in while you are using the steering wheel, so enabling or disabling it should make no difference.

I wanted to check if that was indeed the case, or if we have a bug on that front.

In that video, it looks like you have the ffb inverted, remember that with Logitech wheels you have to enable the inverted option so the ffb is not inverted.

I plugged my G920 to test if I could replicate the issue since I also do drifting frequently on beamng, but I couldn't. If anything, I think it felt better (more detailed) than it did on 0.24 (I bought my TS-XW a couple of days before 0.25, so I have somewhat fresh on my mind how the G920 used to feel)

Here is my "baseline" ffb configuration, unmodified (other than new 0.25 stuff) from the one I used to have on 0.24. The response correction curve is one I made with the G920, I don't use one with the TS-XW. I can share it if useful, but I don't think it matters.

Several potential ffb and steering issues were fixed with version 0.25.2, please update and let us know if you still have problems :)
