I wanted to know what is your favorite racing games of all time? Mine is NFS Shift 2 Unleashed. Feel free to show your top 5/10 games
I have the best memories of NFS pro-street for just racing. That was the first racing game I played since NFS Carbon that I could do a fair amount of customization and actually enjoy the races. I made a Honda Civic drag car that was competitive with my Dodge Charger drag car. I don't play much racing games anymore, if you can't make a car your own it just doesn't feel right, and I don't know any recent good games with car customization. The last two weeks I put several hours into Wreckfest; I am really enjoying the game now (but annoyed I can only own one of each car, I really wanted a race spec and derby spec American 5...). Aside from that, hot laps in BeamNG has been virtually all of the virtual racing for me in the past year. When BeamNG.Drive gets an economy I am probably going to spend more time on it than I will currently admit. (It's going to annoy me when the devs start another project because I'll actually have to refer to BeamNG.Drive by its actual name instead of just by the company name...)
In no particular order, Burnout 3,Revenge, and Paradise NFS Most wanted (2005) Gran Turismo 4 Crash Team Racing Forza 4 Forza Horizon 1
Gran Turismo 5 and Burnout Paradise are also high on my list. Burnout Paradise was the first racing game I could play online with my friends and the open world was great. Gran Turismo 5's car catalog was simply amazing. I bought a PS3 just for Burnout Paradise (I didn't have many hobbies back then...) and put a silly amount of hours onto it. Sucks that EA practically killed the series after that one. Burnout Paradise and Minecraft are the only games I have ever enjoyed playing multiplayer on. Hate how common forced multiplayer is nowadays.
1. Burnout Paradise (102% completed twice, 101% completed 4 times... due to weird corruption issues that made me keep restarting) 2. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift - Just straight up awesome. Too bad the series is dead. 3. Burnout 1&2 - Nostalgia goggles. I actually like these far more than Burnout 3. Burnout 2 was the originator of crash mode! 4. Avalanche's Mad Max - I literally completed EVERYTHING in this game. It is immense fun and the perfect combination of senseless violence, vehicular combat, and racing. 5. Original Flatout - Nostalgia. Aged really well imo, derpy havok physics still hold up. 6. SideSwiped - I can't remember how I found this game, but it was basically a vehicular destructionist's wet dream. Explosions, fire, smoke, traffic, etc. I think it was a DS game. In fact, it did Burnout better than the official-made Burnout Legends did! For a DS game, it was extremely fun and senselessly destructive. There was also a game - Alias Runner?... 2004-ish? It was a shockwave game but it was amazing to play back in school. You drove a little fiat 126 looking thing and your goal was to escape a little city from a bunch of blacked-out cars. Kinda like Burnout's Marked-Man mode. This isn't including Drive either.
