    Look up. Clear as day.

    6th Generation Consoles included:

    Mainstream Consoles:

    Sega Dreamcast
    Sony PlayStation 2
    Microsoft Xbox
    Nintendo Gamecube

    Lesser-Known Consoles:

    The Nuon
    The Atari Flashback
    The V.Smile
    Xavix

The only things that won't be used for comparisons are the number of games on the consoles, and how many units were sold, only what the console actually does.

Add any notes in your posts, general experiences with your consoles, and really, just civilly chat about differences with each consoles.
(Sadly, I have a good feeling this rule will only last a minute...)

IMO, I'd think the PS2 was better, here, though I'd rather leave it up to you guys.

    PS2

Built like a tank, and had an amazing library.

The PS2 for me. It was what I had back when those consoles were relevant. I also played the GameCube and Xbox back then too though. (Well, literally only Mario Sunshine on the GC, but you know). Best thing about it for me back then was it being able to play both PS2 and 1 games, which meant that there were suddenly loads of games that I could play that cost basically nothing, which was definitely a good thing when you weren't exactly earning any money. Nowadays the reason I prefer the PS2 over the Xbox has been pretty consistent over all their new consoles, which is I just perfer more RPG-like stuff over action filled shoot everyone stuff.

As for the Sega, I've never even seen one in real life. Their memory card thing is pretty interesting though I guess

Sadly, can't find my console, even if my mother bought several, but this was essentially my childhood...we even have the box!

I owned a PS2, but if I had all of them I would have probably used the Xbox the most, the PS2 seemed to lag behind a bit on hardware compared to it, but it was the only one I had. Now that I know that emulators exist, I've played some Gamecube stuff and there are some amazing games for that system as well. Unfortunately, there aren't any good original Xbox emulators.

PS2. Xbox may have had online and halo but PS2 had just about everything outside of Nintendo or Microsoft. It also allowed you to play 90% of PS1 games.
Yes I know PS2 did get mp later on but I won't count it.

PS2 was the first console I owned, one of the few I have ever had. Mine still works, I own a lot of games for it. Nice to hop on once in awhile, I should more often but it can be such a pain to set up.
