Good day and evening Ladies and gentlemen, your mission today is to test this brand-new prototype aircraft: F-262 "Blitz" Based on the iconic and infamous Me-262, we have somehow managed to convince Lockheed to turn these old junk into spaceships by installing 2 Pratt & Whitney F-135-162 engines from the F-35 onto this aircraft. So it goes without saying that the speed of this thing is incredibly fast. But with that also comes a drawback: Airframe stability and Extremely High G-Forces. You shall never push the throttle over 40% after reaching speeds above 500 knots as the aircraft will become extremely unstable in an instant, you also cannot exceed the maximum speed of 750 knots, or the aircraft will just break apart from the air resistance. Never pull too hard when above 150 knots or your gears might break off, if you do this at a higher speed then the wings might also snap off. The same thing will roll and rudder. The ancestors of our NASA scientists built a decent airframe and we are going to use all of it, the providers will improve the aircraft while you give feedback. Am I clear? Alright then, Let's go rule the skies. To-do list: Green: Done Orange: In progress Red: Not started Engine stats (accurate thrust, weight, and fuel stats etc) Custom Skin(Art is done but not implemented yet) Vectoring thrust nozzle mesh & Other engine mesh modifications Improved Airframe Glass cockpit Special parts (Suggest below!) Download the Me-262 (Required mod) with fixed textures by me here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/me-262-texture-fix-non-pbr.98655/#post-1728632 Note: You might need to clear the cache if there are texture issues.
I dont know if its just me but the mod breaks at 1342 mph, no matter what. It says the file is corrupted or broken, and reloading it fixes it. However, the "speed limit" is always constant no matter what I do.
This happens all the time. I think it’s just a limit on the jbeam. I have gotten to speeds up to 2000kph before, but that was when I accelerated slowly and at very high altitudes with low air resistance. You can try doing that.
Mach 2 ? Geez , you're intercepting Concordes with that..... --- Post updated --- ....or you could just buy the license from Pratt & Whitney and make a company that makes replicas of ME-262 and fit them with these engine under license
