Extremely low GPU utilization

Hello. I'm experiencing a HUGE GPU underutilization.
Hardware - laptop ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506IHRB:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with Radeon Graphics (6c/12t)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile (4gb GDDR6 vram)
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3200MT/s (1x Samsung M471A2K43EB1-CWE)

Software:
- OS: Windows 11 24H2 26100.3194
- Windows "Game Mode" is enabled
- NVIDIA driver version: 572.83
- AMD driver version: 24.9.1
- BeamNG.drive version: 0.35.2.0.18048
- MSI AB version: 4.6.6.16381 Beta 3
- RTSS version: 7.3.6.28010

BeamNG.drive settings:
- vulkan renderer
- minimal graphics preset
- borderless display mode
- vsync is off
- everything else is default

As you can see on the screenshots, GPU utilization is around 60-65% with 1 car and 68-73% when paused or paused + no cars. Direct3D11 renderer gives me even worse results (FPS) with only 50% GPU utilization.

Get an RTX or AMD equivalent, dlss and frame gen with AMD will be arriving at some point after vulkan is improved is what I am reading.

 

as an rtx user i'm proud of my 3060 (*needs to be faster*)

 

Terry, OP has a laptop. Kinda hard to switch out the GPU.
@bghorizon press CTRL SHIFT F ingame for the build in diagnostics. Will show in flashing text what's limiting you. I bet you'll benefit from dual channel RAM, if your notebook has a second free slot. Those Ryzens need it.
