   when i hit 'F' to exit a vehicle, this ^^ shows up when i get out, it shows up if i hit f when moving too. only way to vanish it (temporarily) is to hit f again.

   That's odd. Somehow, your F key is set to also open the debug vehicle editor. Go to Options > Controls, expand the Vehicle submenu, and check what is assigned to "Modify Vehicle".
