Engine Sound Backwards?

So first of all, I couldn't really decide where to post this so if posted to the wrong forum please, forgive me


The thing I was wondering about it the way the dynamic engine sounds work... when you're in front of the car (closer to the engine) the engine sounds louder and more defined... but when your behind the car and closer to the muffler the car sounds muffled and like the sound is pointed away from you? Idk if that was intentional or not but from my experience its the otherway around...

idk what kinda life experiences you're basing this on but they sound just fine to me

 

AFAIK it is intended. Currently the sound emitting node is at engine. However, I believe later devs will add sound emitting node at different places.

 

After the sound update all of the cars sound louder at the front (even the Bolide). It was showcased in the video so it must be intended, but having cars quieter by the mufflers is strange. Hopefully that will be worked on.
