Early Experimental Preview of Career Concept

    We just wanted to let you know that with the release of version 0.26, we are bringing the foundational phase of the Career mode to the game. Well, sort of.

    We’re so excited to finally be focusing on the Career Mode that we’ve decided to include the current, very early stages, INCREDIBLY EXPERIMENTAL VERSION as an Easter Egg. If you want to check out this foundational phase of the Career Mode, click the Career button on the Main Menu six times to enter the career preview and see what we’ve been up to.

    Just a warning though: This is very much still a Work in Progress. It’s going to be temperamental, volatile, it’s going to be buggy, and it’s most likely going to look nothing like the final product. However, we thought it would be a good idea to activate it now, because the point of Early Access is, after all, to be able to follow along with the development of a game you’re passionate about.

    We are currently working hard to develop the mode further and we will share more news along with the next major release and possible in between through our usual Teaser Tuesdays.

    We would like to reiterate that this is a very early preview and you will definitely encounter issues and your progress will be lost with future updates as the files will not be compatible with the next release. You can share the bugs you encounter in this thread but make sure to follow our usual reporting guidelines (disable mods, clearly state which part of the UI/game is affected, what is the issue and what is the expected behavior).

    initial thougths after 30 ish minutes, very good, relatively entrataining.
    one think, dont know if i just am skill issued but after going back to the garage spawnpoint, i could not get to open the garage menu and had to use the tow service

    Yea thats something I noticed, if I press ESC in the garage then the option to go back to hte garage disappears and I need to drive around again.

    Looks great so far, about what I had expected.
    Would be nice if you could continue at your current position after a mission, being spawned back and then driving the same trip again or being around the same missions again is a bit immersion breaking.
    Also I feel like there should be more missions you can do with your own car, like what is the point of investing in your car when you don't use it, but I see te balancing issues this could bring up. Maybe hp or value limitations for missions are a solution, like they do in real life at races where people bring their own cars.

    Thank you to all BeamNG devs. The last few updates added a ton of ground work for Career Mode. I cant wait to try it out this latest test version, and am super excited to see what the final - or at least non experimental version - will be!

    Oh weird. Try in safe mode, and try clicking consecutively (you cannot wait between clicks).
