Hello! I'm currently creating a mod that represents the real-life Dogbox transmission. It's an H-pattern type transmission that allows you to shift without a clutch. I've created a working gearbox with proper gear ratios, whines and other stuff, but I ran into a problem with the animated shifter. I created Jbeamed shifter, which works, but only as a manual transmission. I also created a test version of the transmission as a sequential one, which shifts without a clutch, and has different animated shifter that only works as in a sequential gearbox. I haven't found similar theards or ingame solutions, so I have a question: Is there any way to combine the features of a sequential gearbox with an animated H-pattern shifter? Or do a manual gearbox that is shifting without a clutch? I've even thought about adding a second (manual) gearbox, just as an dummy to make shifter work, but I don't think I can do that without affecting the sequential gearbox (the clutchless shifting). In sequential I used "propAnimation/sequentialLever", in Jbeamed manual torsionHydros with "inputSource:"hPatternAxisX/Y". I hope that someone will find that interesting or even a very simple case
As a H shifter user, something like this is much needed. What I always envisioned was a mod that allowed all sequential gearboxes to be shifted non sequentially.... If that makes sense. For instance I can currently use my th8a on sequential transmissions but i have to go in sequence up and down through all the gears, but I dont have to use the clutch. If it was possible to change the code to allow neutral between the gears and not sequentially, you'd basically have a dog box.
