https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_yacht_(automobile) "A land yacht is an informal category of large automobiles.[1][2][3] While full-size cars are manufactured worldwide to this day, the term is most often used in reference to full-size cars of American origin between 1960 and 1976.[4] Alongside full-size and luxury four-door sedans, the land yacht term was applicable to multiple body styles, including two-door notchback sedans, personal luxury coupés, convertibles, and station wagons.[5][6] Land yachts are among the largest mass-produced cars manufactured, a category which is represented by full-size SUVs." Some favourites of mine: Cadillac Fleetwood 75 or the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1959. Biarritz is 5.7 meters and the 75 is 6.4 meters
We got 2 "land yachts", and that is a bluebuck and the moonhawk. But honestly the bluebuck doenst really nail the look of the luxury land barges, instead it serves like the chevy biscayne, which is the cheapest and less "fancy" version of the impala. The moonhawk on the other hand, its just too outdated and underwhelmed. And I think its leaning more towards the "intermediate muscle cars" of the era. The game could really work with a true luxury land yachts (Especially from the 70s) like the Continental Mark V, 77' Eldorado or the Fleetwood Brougham, and the list goes on.
I Wonder if other countries did Land yatch . Only thing that Comes to my mind is Citroën with the Sm and the CX (optionally the ds , C6 and VERY optionally, the Xm)
The XM is more of a boat in the front than in the rear lol I mean something like the first picture would be really cool IMO.
I dont think so. Both european and japanese car markets are making midsize cars at the same time period.
Actually, the Xm is in the Citroën boats list , but what are is it's Actual size --- Post updated --- Maybe the Sm and the CX ? They're both from that Time ?
the moonhawk is nowhere near as large as a fullsize american car, it's only a midsize. the burnside, bluebuck, grand marshal, and bastion are all approximately "fullsize", though some cars get bigger yet my wish is for a 70s wendover, the size of a similar cadillac eldorado or oldsmobile toronado, complete with the FWD drivetrain.
