    Hello to all! :)

I am fascinated by this game, that's a fact. I'm a member since 2014 and since then I have run this game on old Laptops.

Now I bought myself a new ThinkPad P53. I KNOW A LAPTOP ISN'T GOOD FOR GAMING.

But for one it has decent specs:

    -Intel Core i7-9750H
    -16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2.666 MHz SODIMM
-512 GB SSD, M.2 2280, PCIe, NVMe, OPAL
    -39,6 cm (15,6") UHD (3.840 x 2.160), LED, IPS, entspiegelt, 500 cd/m², Dolby Vision HDR 400
    -NVIDIA Quadro T1000, 4 GB GDDR5, 128 Bit

now, I don't want to run the game on full specs, but my Question is, if I can demage my new €2700 workmaschine, when i run it?
Games are bad for PCs which doesn't make sense for me- but it's like a General Statement I have in my head.
    Will it overheat for example?
My old ThinkPad had decent specs too but the game crashed after a few minutes of enjoying….

Thank you in Advance (and sorry for my spelling and missing expertise)

Most laptops have mediocre cooling capabilities, especially when both the CPU and GPU are getting stressed. But the CPU will just throttle back in that case. Shouldn't harm it though. Gaming isn't bad for a PC. If it really gets too hot it will turn itself off before it melts down, so no worries.

^this. Beam will probably be just fine. If you are really worried about it, you could purchase an aftermarket active cooling table for pretty cheap on amazon. While it is true that sustained high temps could damage your laptop, saying that gaming is bad for computers is a little like saying driving is bad for cars. Yes, driving your car makes it much more likely to break down, but what's the point if you don't use your car?
Also, if Intel or AMD made parts that had a common thermal issue that would break them under load, they would not sell very many units. Manufacturers know their parts get hot, and they have taken steps to make sure they won't brick themselves. Throttling, fan profiles, power limiting, and auto thermal shutdown are some contingencies put in place.
