Because BeamNG needs more airplanes. So that's my little contribution to this. Now the video should work. UPDATE #7 DONE: - added an optional engine with fuel consumption - little update to the interior TODO: -aircraft trailer for this glider- Whats new ? The glider will initially spawn with the easiest configuration. That means the engine is installed and fully fuelled and the thermal indicator will show you the direction to the next thermal. This is still a glider plane so the amount of fuel is limited to 80l, so keep an eye on the fuel indicator. Furthermore you can adjust the amount of fuel you'll start with. Also if you want more realism, the engine and the thermal indicator can be deactivated in the part selection menu. You may need to wiggle the flight-stick a bit left-right to overcome the initial friction at takeoff.
As in jet you mean like a spinning propeller inside a engine or a jet that has afterburners... or both!
To make more breakable parts i have to rebuild the whole beam structure, unfortunately . I would rather spent this time making other mods or aircrafts. And in real, a glider planes does not have many joints or connections which can break. Not even close as many as a B-25.
No offense but the picture where the engine is on top of the aircraft, it looks weird to me, but, can you atleast make look sleek cuz my brain won't say "NYAH NYAH, AERODYNAMICS, NYAH BLAHH!" but you really don't have to, but, ALSOO!! the pic that AN2Felllla showed me, it kinda looked like you can retract the engine. also GG
That was the idea. Maybe i'll build a winch or sth. to get this thing off the Ground. ... Meanwhile, i achieved some progress with the cockpit.
This model is beautiful. Thanks for uploading and updating this. Great fun just cruising around italy in this thing. I set up the spoiler to my throttle on my joystick, which makes flying a breeze. However, I can't get into cockpit view. Is that because it's not ready yet, or is there a binding that needs to get set up?
No, i didn't upload the version with the cockpit camera until now. Now it uses a second flap which expands in the opposite direction to generate more drag and reduce less lift. The vertical coltri didn't really worked out in the way i was trying to use it. So i'll stick to the cheaty double flap solution for now.
When i was roleplaying with myself, i said "ENGINE FAILURE" then i was like, oh, wait, this is a glider
Latest update is great! Fun and relaxing to be in the cockpit. All we need is some water ballast, incessant beeping from a VSI, a string for the pedal ball, and for BeamNG Drive to implement ridge lift Bug report: I was gliding for a good while, then deployed the spoilers as I set up for landing. Then both wings departed the aircraft simultaneously. Well, in actuality they exploded.
I have an error to report, after gliding for a bit and then you use the air brake the wings just explode. It's almost like the air brake gets stuck in the wing or something.
The joystick is not stuck on the cockpit, it floats around. --- Post updated --- Oh, and the wings explode when applying air brakes or when applying air brakes while landing.
