Gotta love it when you add stuff and try to improve other parts and everything just thinks; 'let's create stress, vibrations and weird deformation before Blijo is able to release it' Back to the drawing/jbeaming board I guess....
Rally suspension is difficult. Its not too bad so far. If anyone knows how to improve the suspension from this video I would very much appreciate if you could drop me a hint As far as I can tell the big impacts are the issue for the system at the moment with it bottoming out. Seems to do an ok job of the smaller stuff though. Still a far cry from the magic carpets that real WRC cars seem to float on. Body kit coming at a later date. Perhaps some wider suspension arms could be neat too.
Thanks to @Blijo i could make these cars. From left to right: GTT 220HP Race Suspension 4WD 4WS with Widebodykit GTL 220HP Sport Suspension RWD and 4WS without Widebodykit GTW 220HP Sport Suspension RWD 4WS with Widebodykit GTSR 372HP Race Suspension 4WD 4WS with Widebodykit also the engine itself isnt the ordinary 2.0l engine also the plan is that the 220HP Cars will get a bit bigger hp bump than just 5 over the normal one Edit: it now has 243HP in standard form i think thats enough
Progress on the ERF project. Got a bit bored of the modeling phase, had fun with chassis jbeam: Gfycat Video - Click to Play - Direct Link
Its certainly tempting but it rises the centre of mass more and makes the handling feel less direct. Equally rally cars don't tend to ride all that high off the ground, although admittedly the real stages seem to be a lot smoother than the ones in BeamNG. For example: I wouldn't call it a minivan, its closer to hatchback in size. I guess VW Golf SV and Honda Jazz sort of sizing with less height. (Had to upload to imgur and then tell the forums to grab the image from there, for some reason attaching files seems to be pretty dead)
If you still want help, I can give it a try. It is always a bit of trial and error with those suspension setups... Ot: let's try to fix some issues tonight
Its certainly very tempting to do, might have a go of it now. Would also make sense for making the car a little more stable on the corners in terms of body roll, guess we will have to see what making the wheelbase more square shaped will do for the handling though. Guess I will go out about that much wider and see how things go.
Finally getting a hang of texturing. Anyone know how to make the pontoons separately colourable to the vehicle?
http://imgur.com/BxOSJ3r Just another day at the office Used Imgur because BeamNG forums are broken and I can't post pics Also, I am surprised that my computer did not die. http://imgur.com/2cvmaJR
Hello, I've been doing a little bit of research on rally cars According to http://www.racedandrallied.com/tech...rally-car-classes-and-second-hand-buying-tips Raceandrally.com higher class, more capable rally cars include an active diff: Both front rear and middle. I've been thinking it could be a traction issue but i'm not 100%. SN: Maybe the game isn't quite capable of simulating accurate traction in off-road conditions or the tire tread isn't quite sticky enough. Or maybe the suspension just needs tuning (damping, rebound etc ) Anyhow this is just speculation.
